I am reluctantly selling my beloved Alfa Romeo Spider Type 4 with only 47,000 km. The vehicle comes from one owner and was personally acquired by me from the first owner. However, I have never registered the Spider in my name. Due to lack of space and, above all, because of work commitments and lack of time, I unfortunately hardly ever get the chance to enjoy this beautiful car as it truly deserves. This is expressly not a distress sale. The Spider has been deregistered since 2017. However, this does not mean that the vehicle has only been standing still all these years. To avoid typical standing damage, the car was moved from time to time, although sometimes only over short distances. Austrian vehicle! Technical condition Recently, the following work, among others, was carried out: - Engine oil incl. oil filter renewed - Fuel filter renewed - Fuel renewed - Brake fluid renewed - Spark plugs renewed The engine runs very cleanly and smoothly, and the gearbox shifts through all gears without any issues and smoothly. Particularly noteworthy is the very good and clean underbody. For its age, the Spider is in a pleasantly good condition and shows no known rust. Known defects Of course, I do not want to hide the existing issues: - The starter recently failed. The car can be push-started without any problems and then runs normally. - In some places the clear coat has deteriorated or flaked off. There are also stone chips and scratches from age and use. - The soft top is somewhat aged due to its age and could use some refurbishment. However, I could not find any tears or holes. - The fitted tires still have tread, but are no longer up to date due to their age. A set of new tires is included. - The brakes should be renewed or overhauled. Overall, in my view, these are manageable tasks that can be completed with a little care and a reasonable amount of effort. After that, I see no fundamental obstacle to a inspection sticker, in my opinion. A final honest word The Spider is definitely not a new car - and I do not want to claim that it is. It is a classic Alfa Romeo with character, patina, and a very good foundation. With its 47,000 km, the very clean underbody and the generally good technical condition, in my opinion it is a car that deserves to get back on the road. And honestly: if it is not sold, I will have the mentioned defects repaired myself and drive it again next summer. I still love this car. The only reason I am parting with it at all is simply the lack of time. Therefore, I also ask that only serious inquiries get in touch. A beautiful classic Spider with a lot of potential - perhaps it is waiting exactly for someone who will give it the attention it deserves.
