Rare BMW M3 Cabriolet E36 with a very recently rebuilt engine (rebuild costing 15,000 euros at an authorized BMW dealer). The engine and the entire drivetrain are in excellent condition. The manual gearbox shifts very smoothly. The invoice and several photos of the rebuild can be shown. The following was replaced during the engine rebuild: complete timing system with chain, gears, tensioners, guides and VANOS seals, new pistons with piston rings, new crankshaft bearings and new exhaust valves. The cylinders were perfect, and the entire drivetrain is now as well. Photos and the invoice for the rebuild can be provided. However, due to lack of time, this restoration project is now for sale. There is still bodywork to be done (repainting and work on the left rear wing), and a new convertible top will need to be fitted. The airbag and ABS warning lights are on because it has been standing still for a long time (this was not the case when the restoration started; likely a fixable issue). The convertible top no longer opens, an electrical problem that did not exist at the time of the engine rebuild (purely electrical due to standing still). The electric windows and seats work perfectly. There is also an LPG installation, which can be kept or removed. The car currently no longer runs on LPG. In one year, this car will be a classic and can therefore be registered and insured cheaply (+ LEZ access). No technical inspection will be carried out upon sale because of the ABS and airbag warning lights, but otherwise the car is technically in fairly good condition. It currently has a winter wheel set fitted, and in the photos you can also see a good set of summer wheels with original rims that you will get with it. All tires (summer and winter) are in good condition and can still last a while. The cover of the dashboard glove compartment needs to be glued back on. In Belgium there are no others for sale, and in Europe only a few between 30,000 and 50,000 euros. A test drive can be carried out for serious buyers. GSM: 0479 43 15 74
