BMW M4 Competition M xDrive – very well maintained, consciously broken in, premium sound system optional For sale is a BMW M4 Competition M xDrive in very well maintained condition. The vehicle has been treated with particular care from the very beginning and was not simply “driven warm and then thrashed,” but was consciously broken in with material preservation in mind, especially during the first few kilometers. A particular point for me was the engine break-in phase. For the first approx. 2,000 kilometers, the vehicle was driven very carefully. High engine speeds and unnecessarily high engine load were consistently avoided. The reason was to give the engine, and in particular the moving components, sufficient time for the bedding-in phase. Especially during this phase, the surfaces of cylinder bores, piston rings, and other mechanically stressed components can bed in against each other. After this break-in phase was completed, an oil change was carried out immediately. It was important to me not to leave any possible residues or the finest particles from the initial running-in and smoothing phase in the oil circuit any longer than necessary. Accordingly, the vehicle was treated from the outset with the aim of preserving its technical substance as well as possible in the long term. Even after that, the vehicle was always driven with the appropriate technical understanding. High revs or heavier loads were not applied when the engine was cold. Overall, the focus in use was not only on the M4’s performance, but also on sensible and careful handling of the technology. The BMW M4 Competition combines the performance typical of an M car with a very high level of everyday comfort. The M xDrive all-wheel drive system provides enormous traction and makes it possible to put the power down very controllably. At the same time, the vehicle remains very versatile thanks to the various driving modes and can be driven both comfortably in everyday use and extremely dynamically. Another highlight of the vehicle is the retrofitted premium sound system. In this case, it was deliberately not just a single speaker that was replaced, but the audio system was upgraded to a high standard. Included is, among other things, a removable subwoofer, so the system can be used flexibly if desired and the trunk does not have to be permanently restricted. The complete retrofitted premium sound system can remain in the vehicle and be taken over by the buyer for an additional €6,000 if interested. Alternatively, it is possible to retrofit the vehicle back to the original BMW Harman-Kardon premium sound system. The corresponding BMW components can be reinstalled. In this case, the buyer bears the costs for the removal/conversion. This gives the buyer two options: either the vehicle is taken over with the significantly more extensive custom audio system, or it is restored to its original BMW/Harman-Kardon condition. The vehicle is particularly suitable for someone who is not only looking for a powerful M4, but also values how a vehicle has been treated from the beginning. Especially with a high-performance vehicle, I consider the handling during the break-in phase, warm-up, and sensible maintenance to be at least as important as the equipment itself. The car was not regarded as an ordinary item of use, but was correspondingly well cared for and handled with technical awareness.
