BMW M5 E34 Hartge Gr.A Ringtool For sale is this unique BMW E34 M5 from 1990, fitted with a Hartge Gr.A S38B36 engine. The car was completely rebuilt and resprayed in its original colour in 2014. The car has: • Intrax 1K2 suspension with roll centre correction and 2 sets of springs • XYZ 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers • Pleie Sport roll cage • New leather/Alcantara interior with new black headliner and rear deck trim • 370 mm M-Tech 2 steering wheel with new leather and stitching • BBS 18-inch wheels with Pirelli tyres • Eisenmann exhaust Engine: The S38B36 engine comes from the Hartge E34 Gr.A race car. It only ran for the initial running-in period and never raced, as the car was written off during its first test. The engine was completely checked before being installed in this car and is now controlled by a KMS MD35 ECU instead of the original Alpha-N system. The KMS runs in banked mode, with cylinders 1-3 and 4-6 controlled separately. Two wideband lambda sensors are used for smoother running and better control. The camshafts are set up for improved torque and drivability. The oil sump is fitted with baffles and non-return flaps, similar to the S14 Gr.A engine setup. The engine produces approximately 370 hp and 380 Nm. The engine has covered approximately 8,000 km since installation.
