Good morning guys, I am putting my Ducati 748 R up for sale, which has now been sitting for about 15 years and is in exactly the condition shown in the photos. The bike was parked away in perfect working order, with a prepared engine, anti-hop clutch, radial master cylinders, composite wheels with carbon fiber, and numerous Ducati Performance carbon fiber components. I would like to point out that the modification to the front forks had been carried out temporarily, pending the installation of a Mupo kit with magnesium triple clamps. Unfortunately, the person who was helping me at the time died in a road accident and the project stopped there. Since then, the bike has remained essentially under a cover for 15 years, without being used again. I therefore cannot guarantee its current mechanical condition, as it has not been started again. MODEL AUTHENTICITY I want to make it clear that this is indeed a Ducati 748 R. During a previous sales negotiation, we dealt directly with Ducati Italia, which confirmed the model identity. I still have the related email correspondence. It is also possible, through the bike’s documentation, to contact an official Ducati dealership to request documentation certifying the model. CONDITION AND SPARE PARTS The bike is sold exclusively in the condition in which it is found and with the components visible in the photos. No additional original spare parts or accessories are available. Over the years, between sales and moves, practically all the material I had was lost. PRICE AND VALUATION I believe the asking price is more than fair, considering that a Ducati 748 R in perfect condition, in my opinion, can be roughly in the 15,000–18,000 euro range, naturally depending on originality, condition, and the characteristics of the individual example. Everyone is free to have their own opinion on the vehicle’s value, but I believe that the many high-quality aftermarket components already installed also have significant economic value, enough to at least partly offset the possible expense of sourcing the original parts and returning the bike to factory configuration. The bike therefore represents a possible base for a restoration project, either in original specification or by keeping the period sport preparation. FINAL NOTE To avoid unnecessary messages and repetitive requests: • If the listing is still visible, it means the bike is still for sale. • The condition is the one documented in the photos. • There are no other spare parts beyond what is shown. • The bike has been stationary for about 15 years and is sold in its current state. • The authenticity of the 748 R model has been verified through Ducati Italia. I have no particular interest in selling it cheaply, nor in entering into endless discussions about its value. After so many years, I have simply decided to consider selling it, rather than continuing to postpone a restoration that, realistically, I never completed.
