For sale is a Honda XL600V Transalp PD06 from 1987 with an actual mileage of approx. 139,700 km. The Transalp has been in my father-in-law’s possession since 2007 and has had a total of 3 previous owners. The history is very easy to trace: all MOT/emissions test reports as well as repair and workshop records from 2007 onward are available in paper form and can of course be viewed during inspection. Just about two weeks ago, a new MOT/emissions test was carried out. The motorcycle is currently still registered and roadworthy. A test ride is generally possible by prior arrangement and for serious interest. The bike has been used regularly for many years and is in an honest condition appropriate to its age and mileage. It is explicitly not a restored or perfect collector’s item, but a nearly 40-year-old Transalp with corresponding patina and signs of use. We would therefore also like to openly mention a few known points: the choke lever is partially broken and currently has to be operated with a small tool. The front tire occasionally loses some air during longer periods of standing; the cause should be checked and, if necessary, the tire replaced. In the area of the side fairing by the exhaust, an original fairing part is missing; the relevant area has been wrapped accordingly. Further cosmetic signs of age and use are present and visible in the photos. The known points related to age and use have been taken into account accordingly in the pricing. Anyone familiar with the old Transalp models knows why these motorcycles still have their fan base today. The bike is particularly interesting for someone looking for an early Transalp with traceable history, long-term ownership, and a recently renewed MOT/emissions test, and who does not expect a high-gloss restored showpiece. Visually, the Transalp presents itself well overall. Especially attractive are the classic color scheme and the gold-colored rims, which suit this early model year very well.
