I am selling my 2005 Mercedes C55 AMG Estate, a powerful car that flies under the radar! The C55 Estate was built in only 595 units with the famously indestructible 5.4-liter M113 V8! This type of estate also served as an FIA medical car during Formula 1 Grands Prix from 2004 to 2007, for a total of 78 Grands Prix, making it a rare car on the planet! In addition, this one was sold and maintained for more than 10 years in Affalterbach by AMG himself. It is a little-known car, except among specialists, compared with the following generation W204 with the mythical 63, but it is less “Bad Boy”. It is more in the good family man category, but it is the ultimate “Sleeper” because the surprise is great for those around you, who only know the widely distributed diesel versions of this generation, when they are unable to keep up with you at the slightest acceleration on the road or highway or when pulling away from toll booths. This generation, phase 2 with the front end and chassis from the CLK W209, is much more elegant and much better finished than the original W203. This compact estate is also very practical thanks to its large carrying capacity. This AMG should be seen like the Alpinas of those years: they promised more refinement, exclusivity and performance. The trim is specific (especially the upholstery), the equipment was advanced for the time (xenon headlights, automatic headlights, automatic wipers, Harman-Kardon sound system, navigation info system), and it reminds you that 21 years ago, it belonged to high society. We are far from the current AMG Line versions on a 180 CDI... I imported it after an appraisal carried out by a French Mercedes & AMG expert. I keep this document for the future owner. Since then, this C55 has received rigorous maintenance from an AMG specialist (GAM 91)... Engine oil change (1x/year) & automatic transmission oil change (07-23), Ruthenium spark plugs x16, radiator + water pump + fan with its control unit recently replaced. Front/rear Bilstein B8 shock absorbers (09-23), Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (09-24) + alignment. Professional flex Bio Ethanol E85 tuning (385 hp), runs on E85 or SP98 interchangeably. Running cost per kilometer on E85 is 50% lower compared with SP98.
