I am reluctantly parting with my RCZ. It was never just a disposable car, but one that was consistently invested in. The major work I did together with a friend who is an RCZ specialist, so it was done on our own and with original parts rather than at the authorized dealer. Parts invoices and workshop receipts are available, and the colleague is available to answer questions from serious interested buyers. Most important first: the engine Anyone familiar with the 1.6 THP knows the issue with the timing chain and camshaft adjusters. That has been taken care of here, with original parts: • 2025: timing chain kit completely renewed in OEM quality, including chain tensioner, guide and tension rails, as well as both camshaft adjusters • valve cover completely renewed including crankcase ventilation • turbo control valve renewed • 2026: turbocharger checked, sealed, shaft without play, no bearing damage. Oil feed and return lines renewed, invoice available • 2025: intake ports blasted with walnut shell granulate, then oil change • oil changed consistently once a year, fully documented. Liqui Moly Top Tec with PSA approval throughout This saves the buyer the EUR 2,000 to 3,000 that represent a risk on any other RCZ with this mileage. Walnut blasting of the intake ports is almost never done on direct-injection engines. And the annual oil change is not a formality with this engine, but the reason it is still running. Tires Kumho 235/30 R20, tires from 2025 with very good tread. Note: in this size, only Kumho and Falken provide approval, so tire choice is limited. • winter complete wheels (5 pieces) included, good tread condition Open and honest, so there are no discussions later The plastic coolant flange on the cylinder head, on the transmission side toward the rear, has a hairline crack and will need to be replaced soon. The replacement part costs 167 euros; in a workshop the replacement is around 800 euros because access is tight. If you do the work yourself, you can get by with around 200 euros in materials. This is the only open point on the vehicle, and the price fully takes it into account. Oil consumption is 0.5 l per 1,000 km, determined by me over a full measured distance of 1,000 km and not estimated. Peugeot states 0.5 l per 1,000 km as the tolerance limit for this engine family. The engine runs unobtrusively: no misfires, no loss of power, no warning message. Why this car The RCZ was built by Magna Steyr in Graz from 2010 to 2015, around 67,000 times in a little over five years. It had no predecessor and no successor, and it shares not a single body part with any other Peugeot. This vehicle is the original version before the facelift of 2013, i.e. the variant with the more subtle front end. The double-bubble roof, the aluminum arches, the extendable rear spoiler: after thirteen years, this car still looks like nothing else. And it drives as it looks. K
