SEAT Leon FR Business Elite 1.5 TSI DSG | 2019 | Very complete | Engine damage Asking price: €5,500 Sporty, very comprehensively equipped SEAT Leon FR Business Elite from July 2019, with DSG7 automatic transmission and approximately 240,000 kilometers on the clock. Very neat interior and MOT valid until February 2027. The 1.5 TSI has a standard output of 150 hp and was stage 1 tuned about 20,000 kilometers ago to approximately 180 hp. The DSG gearbox shifts well; the DSG oil was replaced last year. Maintenance In June 2026, the timing belt, water pump and rollers were replaced. The spark plugs, one ignition coil and the engine oil were also replaced. Known engine damage — clear explanation Until the timing belt replacement, the car drove well in my experience. After that, misfires occurred and the engine sometimes went into limp mode above 5,000 rpm. During later endoscopic inspection by the garage, damage to the cylinder wall and pistons was found. Images of this are available. This sequence describes when the symptoms started; the exact cause of the damage has not been definitively established. Rebuilding or replacing the engine is recommended. The asking price takes the known engine damage into account. The engine runs, but makes a clearly audible sucking/hissing sound around the oil filler cap. Garage inspection reported blow-by and problems with the crankcase ventilation. The crankcase ventilation membrane had been replaced earlier and, according to the garage, has torn again. The sucking sound matches disrupted crankcase ventilation and pressure regulation. The ticking “sewing machine” sound had been present for a longer time, even before the other symptoms appeared. This was previously assessed by the garage and consulted specialists as not harmful. Viewing and sale A good base for someone who can repair or replace the engine. The car is being sold as a repair car with the above known defects.
