Description
Range Rover Classic SE 1993 | Last series | Ardennes Green | New engine | Some cars are special because they are rare. Others because they still show exactly why they became so beloved in the first place. This 1993 Range Rover Classic SE, from the last series, is such a car. A beautiful and highly original example in Ardennes Green, which over the past years has been completely mechanically restored with great care and love for the model. No quick cosmetic refresh, but a carefully executed project in which the guiding principle has always been the same: keep the car as original as possible while bringing it to a very high technical level. A special starting point In 2019, the Range Rover was personally collected in Madrid. The dry conditions in Spain have ensured that the bodywork is in exceptionally good condition. There is no rust and the body has never been welded. In 2020, the car was professionally repainted in the original and characteristic Ardennes Green. The result is a Classic that has the appearance you would expect from a well-preserved example. In 2021, the car was also partially disassembled for an extensive ML wax treatment, aimed at long-term preservation of the bodywork and underside. Technically thoroughly addressed Under the skin, a great deal has been invested over the past years. The main work carried out: • New engine, June 2022, supplied by Turner Engineering, England • The current engine has only covered approx. 5,000 km • New transfer box • Automatic gearbox rebuilt • Air suspension fully overhauled in 2021 new air springs • new sensors • new shock absorbers • valve block replaced/rebuilt • other components renewed where necessary • New brakes • New brake discs and brake shoes • Stainless steel exhaust • Air conditioning replaced • All heater motors replaced • ECU of the electrically adjustable driver's seat replaced • Suspension rubbers replaced • New Blaupunkt radio In short: a Range Rover in which not only the appearance has been addressed, but especially the mechanics have been thoroughly restored. Original details that make the difference The car also comes with various original accessories that complete the characteristic look of the Classic: • Original bull bar • Original dog guard • Original light grilles • Original Michelin X M+S 244 tires, remade It is precisely these details that make the difference in a Classic. The car does not look like a modern interpretation of a classic, but like a Range Rover Classic as it was intended. A Classic with documented history This is not a Range Rover that has only been made cosmetically attractive. Over the past years, great attention has been paid to the mechanics, reliability and preservation, while the car’s original character and originality have been retained. A special example for someone looking for an original Range Rover Classic SE from the last series, with a very extensive maintenance history, an engine with only approx. 5,000 km, and an exceptionally comprehensive technical overhaul. Fully documented Extensive photos and invoices of the work are available. This provides good documentation of the car’s history and the many works carried out. The car has always been kept indoors and is serviced annually by the Meteor Land Rover / Range Rover Garage in Weesp. For insurance purposes, the car was valued in 2023 at €42,000. A new appraisal is planned for November. Viewings by appointment. Photos, invoices and documentation of the work carried out are available.
