It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to part with my beloved Porsche 997 4S, built and registered in 2008. A true model for real drivers, with its grey and black color scheme, Sport Chrono package and, of course, the only proper gearbox available for a car like this. A six-speed manual transmission that drives the 355 hp 3.8-liter flat-six boxer engine. One of Porsche’s last naturally aspirated engines in the non-GT models. I have driven the last 20,000 kilometers with this car and given it the necessary care after buying it without having a complete maintenance history. The current history goes back to 2015, including checks by Porsche in Leusden and Eindhoven. The last check was my pre-purchase inspection before I bought the car in March 2021. I am the fourth owner of the car, which was originally delivered in Italy in 2008. 2008 is relevant because from this specific model year onward, some technical bearing issues in the engine were resolved. This is why so few examples are available from these model years. The car has been driven, well maintained, and stored indoors during the winter. It is not perfect for the true purist, but more than ready to be enjoyed for many more kilometers by a new loving owner.
