For sale: my Porsche Cayman 987.1 2.7 from 2007, finished in Atlas Grey Metallic. A beautiful configuration with several factory Porsche Design details, including red seat belts, red instrument dials, and red brake calipers. This is a true driver’s car: mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, an naturally aspirated 2.7-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 245 hp, and a manual 5-speed gearbox. Light, direct, and mechanical, exactly as a Porsche from this generation should be. This Cayman is also factory equipped with the Factory Short Shift Kit, making the shift throws shorter and more direct than in a standard Cayman. Among enthusiasts, the 2.7-liter boxer is known as an attractive choice for those who want to avoid the well-known bore-scoring issues of the 3.4 Cayman S. As such, this version offers the pure 987 driving experience with an engine variant generally considered less risky. Despite its sporty character, the Cayman is surprisingly practical. Thanks to the luggage space at both the front and rear, the car offers no less than 410 liters of luggage capacity, making it ideal for a weekend away or longer road trips as well. Maintenance The car has only 79,237 km on it. Recently, the Cayman had a major service performed by a Porsche specialist. The following items were replaced, among others: • engine oil and oil filter • air filter • cabin filter • brake fluid • spark plugs • all six ignition coils The invoice for this service is of course available. There is a period in the maintenance history where no stamps were added. This is because the previous owner, a true Porsche enthusiast, carried out part of the maintenance himself. The car is in excellent mechanical condition and has clearly always been well maintained. In addition, the car is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport N4 tires with Porsche homologation. These were mounted about 5,000 km ago and are still in excellent condition. The car is a parallel import and has been registered in the Netherlands since 2009.
